Michinari Nishimura has led more than 150 future-scenario projects for large corporations in Japan in industries including automobile, telecommunications, airline, electronics, information technology, energy, advertising, educational service, food and beverage, machinery, and healthcare and pharmaceutical. He participated as principal consultant in the 1999 project "Future of Kansai in 2020" and the 2011 project "Future of Tohoku Economy in 2021 – How to Attain the Revival from the Aftermath of 2011 Tohoku Earthquake." In the fall of 2011, he appeared as an interviewee for the Tohoku project in Nightly Business Report, a news program by Public Broadcasting Service.

In strategy development, he routinely manages strategy formulation sessions for both large corporations and venture start-ups. In addition, he teaches scenario planning, business and marketing strategy, critical thinking, and systems thinking as a lecturer at management training sessions in various Japanese corporations and in a number of Japanese business schools. Mr. Nishimura currently serves as one of the outside independent directors of D.A.Consortium Holdings, a TSE-listed Internet advertising agency group with revenue of $1.6 billion.

Prior to founding his company, Michinari Nishimura was Senior Associate for CSC Index, a reengineering consulting company of Computer Science Corporation in the U.S. He was hired as the first Japanese consultant to work for its San Francisco office. Before joining Index, Mr. Nishimura was Consultant for Corporate Directions Inc. (CDI), a spin-off of Boston Consulting Group in Tokyo.

Michinari Nishimura graduated from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo with a Bachelor of Commerce and from The University of Michigan Business School (Ross) with an MBA with Distinction (Beta Gamma Sigma).
